Hello beloved blog and followers, and happy 2014. It has been on the back of my brain for several weeks to bring you all the photos that I have been shooting and posting on Instagram, (gasp!) I know, I know, it's not my blog and it seems like I've been cheating on my blog, but now the best of both worlds have been brought together. If you're a fan of the 'gram follow me @taylorhhayden, my friend Lucie, fellow planet Shanghai resident, and I have been trying to post a photo a day to Instagram using #lntphotoaday (stands for Lucie and Taylor photo a day, and for the less social media literate readers, the unique hashtag allows us to keep track of our photos and for our HUGE fan base to keep track too, but mostly just us). Check out Lucie's work here, we haven't managed to post every single day, but we have come darn close. By my estimation, today is the 278th day, leaving us less than 100 days in our quest, and bringing me closer to posting 1,000 photos on Instagram. Either way, it has gotten me thinking about taking pictures regularly and I will have a cool and impressive (if I do say so myself) collection of photos from the past year when we finish! All this Instagram talk is boring you by now, but don't worry I haven't abandoned my DSLR for my iPhone entirely. I have photos from the USA this summer, Thailand in October, and my beautiful brand new niece this winter (!), sitting on hard drives and flash disks just waiting to be processed in photoshop! This Saturday I will be toning, and catching up on American Horror Story, and toning some more, and then bringing those photos to you beautiful people on the web. I'm also going to share more of the photos hiding away on my iPhone as we gallup toward the year of the horse (see what I did there?). I hope you and yours are staying warm whether you're in Shanghai or a victim of the polar vortex, and if you're in a warmer climate than the aforementioned, I'm jealous. See you out here in the blogosphere again very soon.
Love the horse segue... x
