We had tickets to go to the Robben Island Museum to see where Nelson Mandela was incarcerated, but the ocean was too rough and we weren't able to go. So, we went down to Simon's Town and saw African Penguins instead. En route to go and see the penguins, we also got our first views of Fynbos, vegetation that is only found in the Western and Eastern Cape provinces of South Africa. There are only six floral kingdoms in the world and Fynbos is one of them. It is also the smallest floral kingdom in the world. So cool!
We also visited Cape Point and the Cape of Good Hope, the most South-Western Point of the African continent. It was so windy, many of my photos had pieces of my hair blowing through the frame. We saw our first ostrich in the wild at the Cape of Good Hope and we also saw our first baboons in the wild here, very exciting!
